It'd be great if they hadn't all decided to keep this one from me. I didn't even know my family was involved in something like this, and now it turns out Uncle Phillip was with you guys since around the time I was born.
My family's--[stops and sighs] Uncle Phillip left some records for whoever took over after him. Apparently my great-grandmother was doing this same kind of work. And then my grandfather, and then Uncle Phillip. And now me.
Oh man, a dynasty. Color me impressed. The only secret my family keeps is about the ingredients in a barbeque sauce. [Not true, but he sure looks sincere.] How goes the adjustment period?
Yeah, well. We're an impressive family, apparently.
[He laughs, not that it's hard to make him laugh normally.] Well, I guess it'll be nice to have a file on the thing trying to kill me instead of stumbling around in the dark.
Uh. We at least have a record of it afterward. Maybe not always before, but that's partially why we keep you around, right? You're part thing is going to try and kill you now siren.

It's fine, I guess. I mean, it's kind of nice having a real job where I don't have to hide my power for a change.
That's it? That's the only perk? C'mon, most of us aren't that bad. And the things that try to kill us are interesting.

Good afternoon, David. How do you fare?
Fine, mostly.
Good.
Well, they're still the only one I've got. And they're great, even if we never see each other.
I see my family little, also. I find that a little goes a long way, in terms of contact.
