Traditionally? There's dating, going out and doing things together like eating or movies. If it's serious, you date exclusively and then get engaged if you both want to get married. Asking the lady's father helps.....sometimes. [Bruce wouldn't ask General Ross for anything if he ever decides to go through with it with Betty.]
