My name should be on it if you are going to continue making a habit of nearly dying. [She says sounding both annoyed and bitter about it. But she's held her composure until now and that says a lot about how far she has come.]
It really isn't. [She sighs. It's that one topic that neither of them was touching, yet again. Neither took well to it.] At least you called me this time.
And you didn't answer. Which, for the record, I'm not - Snarking at you for it. But the effort was there on my part. So. I don't know, I get points for that.
[Oh that snerk. She was trying to be gravely serious and he was...not. And really, he did have a point. She grimaces and palms her face.] That came out wrong.
Uh. Something along the lines of "I'm doing something stupid, it's what has to be done, if I don't come back I -" [He clears his throat.] Look, it would have been sentimental and I don't like thinking about it much.
[She nods.] It did have to be done. You were the only one who could do it. [She smiles softly. Since she had already began to lay it on thick, she adds.] I'm proud of you, Tony.
And suddenly all of my shippy icons are really and truly canon!
Right. Celebrating the completion of the new tower that has since been damaged and needs repair. [She kisses him.] Good thing we have something new to celebrate.
[He circles his arms around her waist, humming thoughtfully as he kisses back.] You know. I've been thinking about some modifications we can make to Tower 2.0.
Already in the works, boss. I'm sure he loves your R&D, but the man needs his own toys too. Also getting him set up with his own quarters. He's had a harrowing six years. It'll be a while before he'll feel warm and cozy. So what is he like as the Hulk? Besides being big and green. [Doctor Banner enbodied the phrase 'mild-mannered'. Big and green Hulk was anything but.]
[Yes, Tony's pretty much adopted Bruce into the Stark family.]
Well. He likes to smash things. And, you know, somewhere under all that gamma-induced muscle he's sort of sweet. In a ... Big green monster kind of way.
Sweet enough to save your life. [An image that the media hadn't failed to capture on film and was playing it live. Her heart was in her throat just up to the point that the Hulk caught Tony.] Bruce doesn't think very much of him, does he?
[She shrugs back.] I wouldn't know. I think I would try to find out about that other part of myself, though. Make peace with it. I think part of his difficulty to trust others is that he has trouble trusting himself. Not to mention the grief General Ross gave him.

Anyway, he knows he's in good hands here. I think. So it's all good.
